Licensing PCL, PDF and Postscript Converters

PCL and PostScript Document Conversion Software from Lincoln & Co. requires to validation with a product key upon installation. Validation will remove the water-mark that will otherwise appear in all the converted documents that you generate. Please note that validation is specific to a given computer system and you will have to follow the Transfering a license procedure to transfer the use of this software application to a different PC system (Hard Disk Drive ID).

1. Open \lincoln\bin\linclicense.exe (Lincoln License Manager). (This happens automatically at the end of the InstallShield Wizard.)
2. Select Product Name from the dropdown menu. Refer to this table if you are unsure of which product you have.

3. Record the Authorization Code. To avoid errors, please copy the code to the clipboard and paste it into an email. Please do not send a picture of the License Manager.
   
   
   
4. Email the Authorization Code and the name of the product you wish to license to license@lincolnco.com. You may also include a reference to your purchase order.
5. When you receive an Authorization Key from Lincoln & Co., open Lincoln License Manager again (see step 1).
6. Select the appropriate Product Type from the dropdown menu again (see step 2).
7. Copy the Authorization Key from Lincoln's email to the clipboard.
8. Paste the Authorization Key from the clipboard into the space for Authorization Key in Lincoln License Manager.
9. Click on the "INSTALL" button.
10. The License State should change from NOT LICENSED to LICENSED.
11. If you get an error, please check that you have selected the correct Product Name.
12. If you selected the wrong product name, repeat steps 6 through 10.
13. If there is still a problem, please send email to license@lincolnco.com. Tell us the error message, the current Authorization Code and Key and which product you are attempting to license.
14. PLEASE NOTE: This license is good only for the hard drive on which you installed the software. If you have purchased multiple licenses you must send us an Authorization Code for each installation.
15. The license cannot be transferred to another hard drive or machine. If you need to move the software, please contact license@lincolnco.com. You will be asked to install the software on the new location, remove the license from the old location, send us the Confirmation Code from removing the license, and send us the Authorization Code from the new installation.
