Q: How does the software protection work?

A: Our software uses a key system which is tied to your hard drive. After you install the software you are prompted to run the Lincoln License Manager. You must select the correct product type from a drop down menu and then copy the Authorization Code that will be displayed. Send this code to license@lincolnco.com along with your purchase order, in order to receive your Authorization Key.

Q: How do I move the licensed software?

A: If you need to move the licensed product to another machine or hard drive, you must get another Authorization Key for that machine. Please install the software on the new location and record its Authorization Code. Then, on the old location, run Lincoln License Manager, select product type, and click on Remove button. Send the Confirmation Code from the old installation and the Authorization Code from the new installation to license@lincolnco.com. Explain that you are moving the license and include the name of the product (EPFaxW Converter, PageView, LDV Viewer; also include whether it is PS, PCL or both).

Q: Can I run the software from remote workstations?

A: No. You must run it on the local hard drive where the license is installed. If you require support for a server installation with multiple workstations, please contact sales@lincolnco.com for information.

• Open License Manager (...\Lincoln\Bin\License.exe).
• Click on "Remove" button.
• Click on "Yes" in the "Kill License" dialog box.
• Record the license removal Confirmation Code.
• Uninstall Crypkey version of application, using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
• Delete \Lincoln\Bin\*.*
• To deactivate Crypkey licensing service and uninstall driver components, run C:\WinNT\setup_ck.exe /d
• Delete remaining CrypKey files (C:\WinNT\SETUP_CK.EXE, CKRFRESH.EXE, and Crypkey.ini.)

• Install "NewProtection" release version of software.
• Run Lincoln License Manager (...\Lincoln\Bin\LincLicense.exe).
• Select appropriate product from dropdown menu in "Product Name".
• Copy Authorization Code.

• Send Crypkey license removal Confirmation Code and new Authorization Code to your vendor.
• Tell your vendor which application you are relicensing.
• Upon successful processing of the Crypkey Confirmation Code, your vendor will send you an Authorization Key for the new installation.
• Run Lincoln License Manager (...\Lincoln\Bin\LincLicense.exe).
• Select appropriate product from dropdown menu in "Product Name".
• Enter the Authorization Key in Lincoln License Manager.
